Jessie Paege on LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness


There are nearly 1.6 million homeless youth, and while only 10% identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, they represent over 40% of unsheltered young people. In this episode of #AuthenticVoicesOfPride, actress and LGBTQ+ advocate Jessie Paege touches on causes, those most at risk, and places LGBTQ homeless or housing unstable youth can turn to for support.

Chevrolet is matching donations to the Ruth Ellis Center up to $25,000. Ruth Ellis Center has established a national reputation for quality and innovation in providing trauma-informed services for lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth, and young adults, with an emphasis on young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involved in the child welfare system, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing.
