An enraged father climbed onstage and punched a comedian after the comedian said on social media that the man’s three-month-old son would grow up to suck “black c**k.”

The conflict began when Alberto Pugilato — a resident of Madrid, Spain, and a self-identified activist with the anti-LGBTQ+ Spanish Nationalist Party — posted an image of himself and his son on X, writing “Pride and Joy.” The comedian Jaime Caravaca commented on the father’s post, writing, “Nothing and no one can prevent the possibility that he is gay and when he grows up he gets tired of sucking black c**k.”

“And Black workers, no footballers,” the comedian added, “How wise time is, we have to wait.”

The father quickly commented via X, “I assure you that you are going to apologize for what you said about my 3-month-old son and you will discover that real life is not Twitter.”

The comedian then deleted his comment, but the father took a screenshot of it and reposted it on X, writing, “He deleted the tweet, but I captured it, I’ll print it and take it to a monologue so we can laugh in person.”

Video of the comedian’s evening performance on June 3 shows Pugilato, a muscular man, climbing onstage during Caravaca’s stand-up routine and sucker-punching the comedian in the head.

The comedian stumbles back into a seat in a corner while the father continues yelling at the comedian, “Do you think my son was going to eat a black man’s d**k? At 3 months? What now? Tell me to my face, here and now.”

The father apologized to people who confronted him onstage, repeatedly calling the comedian “trash” and saying that he made a sexual comment about his infant son.

The comedian later told the audience that he had received death threats for his social media post.

In a June 4 post on X, the comedian wrote, “After what happened, what was intended to be a joke was ultimately an unfortunate and not at all appropriate comment on my part. My apologies to anyone who feels affected. Let’s put violence aside, and leave a good world for people to grow free.”

The father responded, writing, “I accept your apology, Jaime. I defend freedom of expression in the same way that I defend the right to respond. I do not wish you any harm and I hope this helps others understand that children are sacred. All the best.”
