Failed GOP candidate Valentina Gomez has a new conspiracy theory that involves the extremely homophobic trope that gay couples “purchase children.”

The theory, as she told it, connects Democratic support for reproductive freedom to warmongering.

“Kamala Harris doesn’t want to be the only one bearing the pain of not having children,” Valentina Gomez, who ran for Missouri secretary of state, said in a video posted to social media. “That’s why she’s trying to convince young women like you and I to kill our own babies.”

“Even gay couples try to purchase children to fill that void,” she continued. “These type of people have the nerve to kill their own child, so they will not think twice about sending your sons and daughters to die in useless wars that they profit from.”

Harris is, of course, not trying to convince anyone to kill any babies, or even to get an abortion. Most liberals believe that access to abortion should be a right but that the decision to actually get one is up to the pregnant individual.

Gomez built her campaign on homophobia, from burning LGBTQ+ books with a flamethrower to making “Don’t be weak and gay” her campaign slogan to posting videos online using the word “fa***t.” In a party that generally does not support LGBTQ+ rights, Valentina Gomez stood out for how cartoonishly hateful her public statements are.

She grew increasingly unhinged as she got closer to the primary, calling LGBTQ+ people “pedophiles” regularly. She even made a video this past week calling LGBTQ+ people “fa***ts” and claiming that unnamed people tried to poison her dogs, before calling Vice President Kamala Harris “an Indian hoe” and saying that Democrats are all “gay, vaccinated, and cannot reproduce.”

She lost her primary earlier this month, coming in sixth place. She also lost her job at Purina dog food during the campaign.

After she lost, she called people who don’t like her “fa***ts.”
