Anti-LGBTQ+ slur-shouting Kid Rock will headline gay Republican event

In another bizarre attempt to “own the libs” just by confusing them, openly anti-LGBTQ+ performer Kid Rock has been enlisted to headline a fundraiser for the self-loathing Log Cabin Republicans, the gay conservatives group.

“It’s not a joke, I’m being serious,” as President Joe Biden might put it.

The onetime Detroit rapper-now MAGA acolyte will headline the fundraiser “Red White & Rock,” the LCR announced over the weekend. The gay conservatives billed the event as a “star-studded concert uniting conservatives and celebrating American spirit.”

Unadvertised was the sad prospect of wealthy gay men humiliating themselves for proximity to power.

The high-dollar event takes place in Nashville on September 29, with special guests Richard Grenell, Donald Trump’s out, onetime acting director of National Intelligence in the last, chaotic days of the twice-impeached president’s administration, and forever-fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle, who’ll serve as emcee of the event, if never Donald Trump Jr’s bride.

Sponsorship opportunities for gays with the cash include “co-hosting” for $50,000, which earns a “VIP experience,” program acknowledgment, and a photo opportunity, though with whom is left unsaid.

Couples ($15,000) or sad gay singles ($10,000) can pay for the VIP Experience alone, which entitles them to the unexplained pic opportunity plus their own “acoustic performance and remarks,” which quite likely might be more entertaining than the main event itself.

If you’re poor, you can attend the reception alone (singles: $1000) or together (couples: $1500).

The LRC has tried mightily to stay relevant this election season, with Grenell convincing Melania Trump to invite him and the group’s other conservative and over-served circuit queens to both the Trumps’ penthouse in Trump Tower and their Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach. Mrs. Trump was paid a substantial fee for that access and the opportunity for selfies in her gold-plated surroundings.

Kid Rock, aka Robert James Ritchie, was maybe the biggest celebrity to attend Trump’s premature ur-coronation at the Republican National Convention in July. GOPers — even the gay ones — have had trouble recruiting anyone more famous than Hulk Hogan for their fundraising initiatives. Now the LRC is stuck with a show business type with real antipathy for gay people.

Last year, Rock took sadistic pleasure in shooting up a case of Bud Light with an AR-15 after trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney promoted the beer.

While considering a run for Senate from Michigan, Rock ranted at a concert asking why “everything is so gay” these days.

He’s laughed off the struggle for trans rights, saying, “No, you don’t get to choose, because whatever you have between your legs should determine the bathroom that you use.”

Rock has claimed that “Twitter is gay,” and, at a bar concert in 2021, he screamed at fans, “You f*cking f*ggots with your iPhones out!” captured on video and posted by TMZ.

That incident was recorded at FishLipz Bar & Grill in Smithville, Tennessee, just over an hour from Nashville, where Log Cabin Republicans will welcome him at the end of the month for yet another humiliating display.
