Marlon Wayans slams Elon Musk’s transphobia against his own daughter

Marlon Wayans discusses his trans son on The Breakfast Club radio show

Actor Marlon Wayans, who is a parent to a transgender child, went after billionaire Elon Musk for his transphobia against his own daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson.

Wayans told the podcast Club Shay Shay that he’s about to drive his Tesla “off a cliff” because of Musk’s behavior towards Wilson. Musk has deliberately misgendered Wilson, claiming she is “dead” and was “killed by the woke mind virus.”

Wayans told the podcast host Shannon Sharpe, “I don’t like what he be saying about his trans child. You don’t treat them babies like that, you don’t disown your baby. Love your child!”

He continued in calling for more love for trans children from their parents. “l’m sad to say some parents, some family members, and some people it’ll take them a lifetime,” he said. “They’ll never get to that magical place that I’m at which is just acceptance. Still my child. That’s my baby.”

He then spoke of his trans son, Kai, and his transition, saying being “the last to know” was “hard on me.”

“But as hard as it was, I think that it’s not important. It’s important what you went through; the five steps of grief, but I think it’s important that you get to acceptance. And I’m proud to say it took me a week – but it felt like forever,” Wayans said.

Wilson called out Musk for treating her as a villain in his biography.

“You just won’t stop lying about me in interviews, books, social media, etc,” said Wilson. “Thank God you’re absolutely terrible at it because otherwise this would be significantly more difficult.”

Wayans has supported his trans child since the day he came out, proudly posting images on proudly posting images of themselves on Instagram decorated in rainbows for Pride. Wayans called out a bunch of haters as well, saying they have repressed feelings and were taking it out by hating on innocent people.

The actor is known for starring in widely regarded classics in the modern comedy genre, including White Chicks, Scary Movie, and Norbit. His career goes back to the 1990’s, where he started in a comedy duo with his brother, Shawn Wayans. He’s also starred in numerous comedy TV shows, including one named after him, Marlon.

Wayans had previously said of LGBTQ+ youth, “As a parent, I just want my kids to be free. I want them to be free in spirit, free in thought, free to be themselves. The more you live your truth, the happier your existence.”
