Out actress Laverne Cox appeared on The Daily Show yesterday for Spirit Day, a day intended to bring awareness to anti-LGBTQ+ bullying where people are encouraged to wear purple.

On the show, Cox discussed how trans issues are being used by the right this election season to get votes even though anti-trans laws put trans kids in danger of increased bullying and hate crimes.

She also got a few jabs in about North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R), the extreme and vulgar anti-LGBTQ+ politician who, a decade ago, proudly discussed his love of adult video content involving trans actors.
