Marjorie Taylor Greene tried to mock conspiracy theorists. It backfired spectacularly.

People cannot believe Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) – a known conspiracy theorist – took to X over the weekend to mock none other than conspiracy theorists.

The anti-LGBTQ+ congresswoman – who has most recently asserted that Democrats control the weather and created brutal hurricanes to ravage red states – posted a meme depicting someone in a massive tinfoil hat. It states, “Almost everyone in America right now.” Greene added her own, “Yep” to the post.

A tin foil hat has become the universal symbol to mock conspiracy theorists. Some theorists claim that tin foil hats shield the brain from electromagnetic fields that could allow others to read thoughts and control minds.

Greene’s post shocked X users, considering Greene was once a follower of the QAnon conspiracy theory, which posits that there is a secret international Satanic child sex cabal, led by Hillary Clinton and Tom Hanks, which Donald Trump has worked behind-the-scenes to dismantle. Greene wrote at least 57 articles about the conspiracy on a now-defunct website, earning her the title of “QAnon candidate” when she ran in the 2020 elections.

Greene also continues to peddle an endless stream of lies about gender-affirming care, repeatedly claiming that liberals are spreading so-called “gender ideology” to force kids to transition.

On Saturday – the same day Greene posted mocking conspiracy theorists – she posted that “Democrats think it’s okay to allow kids to have their genitals barbarically mutilated with irreversible ‘gender-affirming care.'” Gender-affirming surgery is almost never performed on trans youth, and the gender-affirming care most youth do receive is reversible.

Green has also previously said that an airplane never hit the Pentagon during the September 11 terrorist attacks, that all school shootings are fake, that California wildfires were started by a Jewish-owned space laser, and that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton once sliced off a child’s face and wore it.

As such, folks on X viciously mocked Greene for what many deemed an incredible lack of self-awareness.
